Miranda Saarentaus aus Helsinki in Esslingen

Die bekannte Aikido-Lehrerin Miranda Saarentaus, 6. Dan Aikikai Tokio, kommt nach Esslingen und gibt einen mehrteiligen Wochenend-Lehrgang. Sie ist langjährige Schülerin von Endo Shihan und leitet das Dojo Akari in Helsinki, das 1998 gegründet wurde. 1972 begann Miranda mit Aikido als Schülerin von Ichimura Sensei, der vom Hombu Dojo in Tokio 1966 nach Schweden geschickt wurde, um dort und später auch in Finnland Aikido zu verbreiten. Ichimura Sensei kehrte 1986 nach Japan zurück. 1990 traf Miranda ihren jetzigen Lehrer, Endo Shihan (heute 8. Dan).
Mirandas Aikido zeichnet sich durch fließende Bewegungen, Kraft- und Mühelosigkeit aus und ist durch Kontakt und Verbindung so stark. Jiyu waza (freie Technik im Fluss) ist ihr Markenzeichen im Unterricht.
Seit vielen Jahren gibt Miranda Lehrgänge in Finnland und im Ausland. Wir freuen uns sehr, dass sie unserer Einladung nachkommt!

Der Lehrgang ist für alle offen, Waffen werden nicht benötigt.
Kosten: € 60 für den gesamten Lehrgang
€ 20 pro Einheit (man kann auch nur einzelne Trainings besuchen)
Samstagmittag lädt der Aikido Verein Esslingen e.V. zu einem Imbiss im Dojo ein.
Übernachten im Dojo ist möglich, Samstag und Sonntag gibt es ab 9:00 Uhr Frühstück.

Miranda Saarentaus Sensei from Helsinki, 6th Dan Aikikai Tokyo

Miranda Saarentaus is a senior student of Endo Shihan, and she is the head and chief instructor of Akari Aikido Dojo in Tikkurila near Helsinki. Akari was founded in 1998. Miranda started practicing aikido in 1972 as a student of Ichimura Sensei, a teacher sent to Sweden by Hombu Dojo in 1966 to teach aikido in Sweden, and later also in Finland. Ichimura sensei returned to Japan in 1986. In 1990, she found her present teacher, Endo Shihan, now 8th dan.
Miranda’s aikido style emphasizes the flow of movement: not going against the force, always trying to find a way to guide your partner without coercion, and drawing strength from contact and communication. Not surprisingly, jiyu waza (free-flowing technique), is one of her trademark exercises in class.
For years, Miranda has taught seminars in Finland and abroad. We are happy she has accepted our invitation!

Aikidoka of all affiliations are welcome. Weapons will not be needed.
Fees: € 60 full weekend
€ 20 per class (you may also attend only particular training units)
Saturday after the early class, the Esslingen Aikido Club will supply snacks and finger foods at the dojo.
It is possible to stay overnight at the dojo. On Saturday and Sunday there will be breakfast from 9 a.m.
